Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION AND SUBLET (RE-RENT): Rental deposits, accidental damage waiver fees, booking fees, and payments are non-refundable. Tenant is required to give written authorization for re-rental. If Agent is able to re-rent the rental unit for the Tenant, a 15% fee of the total rent will be deducted from received payments. The Landlord shall be paid all payments before Tenant is to be paid under re-rental. If the Landlord cannot be paid in full with the money received from the re-rental, the Tenant will add such funds as required to make full payment to the Landlord. Tenant agrees that this Lease may not be assigned or the rental unit sublet without the written consent of the Landlord, which may be withheld for any reason. If such consent is obtained, Tenant may sublet through the Agent for which Tenant will pay a 15% commission for said subletting and cost of cleaning.

Deposit Policy
PAYMENT POLICY: 50% of the total rent plus any service fees are due 10 days after reservation is made. Fees include Accidental Damage Waiver Insurance fee or any other fees associated with this rental including all municipal rental lodging taxes, a non-refundable booking fee, Travel Insurance (if chosen). Service fees and Accidental Damage Waiver Insurance fee shall be due and payable by credit card at the time of reservation on the on-line reservation system. Agent shall be entitled to collect the credit card payment when the Agent confirms the reservation on the on-line reservation system. The balance of the rent is due 45 days prior to check-in, unless otherwise specified. The rent balance may be paid by personal check, credit card, money orders, traveler’s checks, or certified checks. Personal checks will not be an accepted form of payment of the rent balance after 45 days before the check-in date. Mailed payments should be sent to Joe Maggio Realty, Rental Department, 37169 Rehoboth Avenue Unit 11 Rehoboth Beach De 19971.

We were very pleased with our recent stay at Port Lewes. We took a Wednesday - Sunday vacation from NY, and chose the condo based on the description and photos, as well as the convenient location. The condo was neat and clean upon arrival, and everything was exactly as described. The condo is noted as accepting pets for a $300 upcharge but there was no sign that pets had been there. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils, and a couple of nice large coffee mugs (a necessity for us!). One note -- the wifi is through Xfinity, and free if you have an account with them, otherwise you could purchase time if you wanted.

The location is great -- the condo development is between the Cape May/Lewes ferry and Cape Henlopen Park, which we were advised is the most popular park in Delaware. The park should definitely be on your list if you visit. We took the ferry to Cape May, and also went to Ocean City, Fenwick Island, and down to Assateague National Seashore, which we saw from both the Maryland and Virginia sides -- couldn't be more convenient to get around. Lewes itself is a pretty town, with some cute shops and good restaurants; information was included at the condo, and we researched online before we got there as well.

The Maggio Shields team responded quickly to all communications, and provided good information. We booked late, close to our arrival time, so full payment was required; with more notice, a partial payment would have been fine. All of this was included in the communications, so there was no confusion. We stayed at the tail end of the off-season so the price was great; this unit was less than Lewes-area rentals that were not even close to the water.

Overall, we were very pleased with our choice to stay at Port Lewes. We want to come back to the area again and visit a few more historical sites and wineries (Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey all have them), and we'd be happy to stay here again.
